Loudsong Records was established by Richard and India Gautier as part of the Ferris Wheel recordings in 2017. Although this was the start of Loudsong Records, the Loudsong concept began more than 20 years ago at a Barnardos children's project in London's suburbs. With funding from Barnardos and the support of the creative staff and musician friends of The Barnardos Daybreak Project, Richard set up The Loudsong Music Project. Working with the theatre company he was involved in and The London Community Gospel Choir, 2 songs, Loudsong and Got What it Takes were recorded at The scarlet Studios, London. Jo Merry, the Theatres director and Richard worked together to choreograph performances that were fully inclusive and could be performed around the country. The Loudsong project ran for two years and played at many local and community theatres and events as well as some of London's bigger venues including Her Majestys Theatre and The Shepherds Bush Empire and the Millennium Dome.
An EP was released in 1999 with The London Community Gospel Choir.
Fast forward 20 years.
The Recording home of Loudsong Records is The Farmhouse Studio. Set in an old stone cottage in Nairne in the adelaide Hills the sound produced is perfect. Warm, soulful, inviting and a little bit country!
Farmhouse Studios is managed by sound engineer Paul Hasler and Richard Gautier. Paul is a wonderful musician and has been involved in music all his life. Paul enjoys sharing this experience and passion whilst working alongside musicians and songwriters. Creating individual pieces of music for everyone that comes through the studio.
Richard and Paul work side by side on all music recordings and production.
The current project is with Adelaide Hills based singer- songwriter, Indy. Indy writes country folk/pop songs with a wonderful and interesting lyrical arrangement. She was also very much involved in the creation of Loudsong Records.
Indy has recently released The Ferris Wheel EP, She is playing throughout the Adelaide Hills and is currently planning a trip to the UK to play music and promote her EP.
